BALTIMORE YEAR 100,000 PERPETUAL MOTION PUPPET SHOW
Part of THE REVERSE ARK in The Wake
| Baltimore Year 100,000 is a hybrid puppet show involving improvisational video, sound, sculpture, and viewer participation. The show presents the excavation of a future Baltimore after 100 millennia under the Chesapeake. This setting serves as an interface for the larger reality unfolding. Using windmill as converter the show will function not as linear story but as multi-dimensional system. The feedback loop will be initiated by feeding left over materials from building the show itself into windmill input output devices. Like a climate system each event effects the next creating a chain reaction and like a hive each windmill puppet has a specific function which the system as a whole depends on. The concept is greatly inspired by perpetual motion in our own material shifting world. |
