-----There are moments that happen so fast we cannot grasp their totality. There are instants within certain persistent systems, which move so quickly, we can not see the infinite number of possibilities it may have. Reality and its structures (from no thing to any and everything) present themselves as seemingly stable or tangible yet are forever in motion, mostly empty and fleeting. There is time seemingly endless, which we seek to freeze, these works are an attempt to let these moments linger, let them live a bit longer. They are a way of seeing what is constantly passing, a way of catching duration. They are possible interpretations of the fabric of space and surface, of what might be in the in between, of what all this may or may not be made up of. Due to a constant interrogation of the world around us, this work comes out of the continual wonderment of what might lift us from our seats.
-----This work is a record of time, a history of rhythm, a way of moving through the world and seeing it from a transitory perspective. It is the result of a gesture, an attempt at interlacing moments fleeting and multiple. A way of weaving together the instants of an idea of existence, having an insistent present presence of the past. They represent a concern with the way meaning shifts, through the distillation of light and space into the persistence of language.
